How We Care For Our Community
One of the benefits of owning a company is having the flexibility and resources to be involved in the community. As a company we encourage our employees to do the same. All employees are given paid time off to volunteer with non profit organizations of their choosing. Our service to the community does not end when we leave the office. Our company is pleased to have served in leadership roles with a number of organizations, including:
- Friendship Circle
- Special Olympics
- El Camino Hospital Foundation Planned Giving Council
- Little League for Special Needs Kids (click below for details)
- VIP Special Needs Youth Soccer
- The Scouting program
- The Palo Alto Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) – past President
- And many other wonderful groups
One of Brad’s favorite activities is coaching a Little League Baseball Team for Special Needs kids. In June of 2006, The Palo Alto Weekly published a wonderful article about the team . The Weekly’s Jocelyn Dong followed the team all season, and photographer Norbert von der Groeben took thousands of photos to make sure he appropriately captured the spirit of the team. He did indeed. Please see for yourself.
